‘Without a vision, the people perish’ : Proverbs 29:18
‘Without more perishin’ people, we’ll never get this [expletive deleted] thing finished…’ : One of our clients – before we arrived
We are not in this business just for the money. Like most honest working people, we want to get some job satisfaction and feel that we are making a positive difference in the world. Our vision and values are expressed in our policies; key extracts are listed below.
We:
- make sure the best team wins. If our client is not yet ‘the best team’, then they will be when we’ve finished.
- protect the public and our clients from the effects of bad procurement decision-making whenever we can. We are tax-payers too.
- embed sustainability in everything we do. We like things to keep on working perfectly – long after we have gone…
- transfer skills, teach, train and generally make ourselves dispensable. That way, we have found that we are always in demand…
- actively seek to protect the natural environment and make it easy for our clients to choose to follow our example.
- bring benefit to the industries and communities in which we work and make it easy for clients to choose to follow our example.
- respect and develop talent wherever we find it, even if it comes in a different-shaped, -coloured, -equipped or wrinkly body, or the owner has made life-style choices that some people don’t agree with. It’s the human that counts – everything else is irrelevant.
- work safely, but not to the extent that we stop ourselves, our associates or our clients making sensible and informed choices that could compromise their satisfaction in doing a good job.
